Transport to and From Kampot, Cambodia

To Get to the Kampot Port, you need to get to Kampot first.

You need to find your own way to and from the Port. Maybe use PassApp, a free App here in Cambodia. About $5+ between the Port and downtown Kampot. Otherwise, they’ll take $5 or more to get you right to your destination.

When leaving the Kampot Port, there are large Tuk Tuks at the departure gate. $5 to downtown (about 15 minutes), or more to go further, right to your destination.

And after you get to Kampot, unless you want to live here, you need to get out of town.

By boat, by train, by car, by bus, by Tuk Tuk. That’s pretty much it.

These are your options

Bus, from anywhere in Cambodia. Most buses travel between Kampot and Phnom Penh.

From Phnom Penh, you can go anywhere in Cambodia. There are also buses to and from SihanoukVille, Cambodia. From Kep, not really any public transport. Except, the Port has a bus leaving Kep one hour before the boat sails for the Islands, right to the Port, and will also take you back to Kep when you get back to Kampot…. Must have a ticket in advance.

Train
