Not much around the Kampot Port.
The Port is located right at the mouth of the Kampot River and Bay of Cambodia (Bay of Thailand some people call it).

The Port also has FREE Wi-Fi. Almost every restaurant / guesthouse / hotel / coffee shop in town has free Wi-Fi as well.

Just upriver from the port are a few guesthouses / bungalows / resorts right on the Kampot River. There is a white sand beach we call Koh Smao, with plenty of food, and drinks. (very popular in the evenings if it’s not raining.)
